The latest TV Ratings for the Bachelor are out and last Monday must have been that what Chris Harrison was talking about when he said. “This season is a Homerun”. As I suspected the Bachelor hit gold with ratings…at least for a minute that is! However, if last episode of the Bachelor was that refreshing return to the rather innocent Bachelor TV show roots you were hoping for; the romantic travel, the picnics in the rain, and all that comes along with that, then I am here to tell you that season 16 episode 5 of the Bachelor this coming monday is NOTHING like it!
In Belize Courtney and Ben get straight RAUNCHY, proving that if nothing more that ABC knows how to pull in viewers and that this is in fact not reality, it is Reality TV!

According to our weekly google analytics report, which of course we go over every few days just to see what most fans are interested in and it turns out that about 60k of you searched the terms in advance, the first three weeks of the season.

Accordingly, ‘Bens Butt’ and ‘Bachelor Bens Butt’ are bound to be water cooler talk this Monday and ABC is cashing in! CH-CHING!

If you are a regular reader on the Bachelorette Blog then you’ll know I love to weigh in with what I find to be ridiculous; usually the contestants but often the offscreen nonsense I see or hear or read about as well. Also many of you like to watch the Bachelor online and weekly are doing searches for the Bachelor Episodes online. Well as you often see there is usually a bunch of deadends and Blinkxtv was up until last week about the only reliable source to catch the last episode if you lived outside of the US or the episode was not available on HULU. Well bad news, ever since SOPAcame about and the big bust last week of Megaupload it now appears that the first source I listed is no longer allowing those uploads, so if you miss the show get ready to pay!

Also, once this season comes to a close besides focusing on the Bachelor Canada and the lead-up to the Bachelorette with Emily Maynard we are digging into Survivor One World and the spoilers as far as backgrounds on American Idol 2012 top 24. Both are always alot of fun and keep my DVR busy.
I also just briefly wanted to touch on something somewhat funny that perhaps some off you can appreciate the humor in. Spelling and geography, you either got’em or ya don’t. So after enjoying a fairly recent major spike in readership, (long overdue I might add since I have been writing about this ridiculous show now for three years now) …anyway, while doing some research this week, just after being dumbfounded how many people searched for Bachelor Bens booty (Which I might add is a bit funny in and of itself) Also though discovered that half of Batchelor nation can’t spell. Sure occassionally out of pure laziness I will have a few spelling a punctuation errors here at the Bachelorette Blog. I am guilty of this for sure, since my blog is not a commercial outlet I admittedly get in a hurry and don’t always go back to fix the typos….. BUT my point below, just check this out! Are Nascar fans watching the Bachelor?
WTF? The Batchelor? I mean really the Batchelor??! ROFL...Bachelor is spelled Bachelor not Batchelor or Batchlor!
Holy smokes, like 20,000 people search for the batchelor every month when they are looking for the Bachelor. Oddly enough this happens month after month. I mean it just seems like by now most would have figured it out….but if you are one of the gifted few searching the term, “The Batchelor” just please stop. The show is called the Bachelor….not the Batchelor. Along the same lines, this one is equally ridiculous! 20,000 Bachelor Fans each month actually search the term, “Who got voted off the Bachelor?”

So in review, it’s not the Batchlor it’s the Bachelor and there is no Island. NO ISLAND….sorry! However, if there was an Island I have to say this show would be even more fun. I mean since this season of the Survivor has gone away with Redemption Island I would like to propose that we Bachelor Nation fans steal it from CBS and implement it on the Bachelor. I mean hell we could even turn it into a landscape show on a island, since HGTV is cannibalizing our ex-bachelors like Chris Lambton in order to prop up their own ratings, so why can’t we do the same. Can you imagine how much fun it might be to see contestants have to make pleas to the Bachelor each week via video, as to why they should be let back in the competition?
Jenna from week one would be the best! We could watch her say something utterly ridiclous and then mutter a few words in retreat about total communication failure then retreat to under a pineapple tree. It would be great.
We could even come up with endurance challenges…oh what FUN could be had…and all this we are missing out on without the NON-EXISTENT ISLAND THAT NOBODY GOT VOTED OFF OF!!? :-)
