Dancing with the Stars Producer Richard Hopkins dies of cancer at just 47!

Richard Hopkins executive producer of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars now entering it’s 14th season passed away Saturday after a long battle with cancer.

Sony Music issues the following statement:

“Over his 20-year career, Hopkins produced “Fame Academy” and “Fear Factor” in Britain, and worked on the first series of reality show “Big Brother” before developing, pitching and producing popular dance contest “Strictly Come Dancing” for the BBC.”

Dancing With the Stars.” has of course been a epic success for ABC with no dip substantial dip in ratings since the show first premiered.

 

Hopkins leaves behind his wife and 3 daughters. We have lost to many to Cancer and You’ll be missed Richard!
