The Voice 2012 Finale, Cassadee Pope, ‘Over You’ topples the competition!

Technically, as I write this blog entry, the show is actually airing right in front of me, so no OFFICIALLY the inevitable has not yet been formally announced..the winner of The Voice finals technically hangs in the balances. BUT, we all know what’s going to happen, so why not write about the obvious conclusion, right! I mean really, 1 competitor this season was clearly a star and while others may have huge careers as well Cassadee Pope was the kind of singer that you just know is a star. She’s got the looks and the voice as well as the stage presence that just removed all doubt.

Terry we expect to arrive in 3rd place behind Nicholas David. Honestly, this is partly a story about demographics. Classic rock just doesn’t fit the mainstream story that other genres does nor does Nicholas David voice, as great as it is.

Cassadee Pope Bio:  Cassadee Blake Pope is her full name and  before being the winner of the voice she was the lead vocalist of a pop rock band that went by the name of Hey Monday. It’s sort of ironic that he middle name is Blake since Blake was her coach. With her former band they had released titles by the name of Hold on Tight as well as 3 other tracks off album.  Her Band Hey Monday has actually toured with Fall Out Boy and Yellowcard so she’s not at all new to singing but rather the Voice was just her big break! Cassadee is actually new to country music and now that she’s started a solo career as of December 2011 she seems ready to try out all different genres. Cassadee also recently said in a statement that the band was not broken but so we’ll see what the future holds.  All that seems fairly certain is that after burning up the charts with ‘Over You’ that it probably won’t be long before a full album and tour comes into shape!
